I could be totally wrong here, but I feel like Obama and his socialism was targeted at all the poor people... think about it, in a true socialist society, they stand to benefit the most because they will get the most help and have to do the least to get it. Meanwhile, the middle and upper class will be the one's to suffer because they are the one's paying for it. The money that Obama wants to spread around has to come from somewhere. On top of that, we are stuck in a global financial crisis, so the people who Obama wants to take money from and spread around are losing jobs right and left. Obama is not helping any when he plans to close down entire industries (coal industry!!) in the name of "GREEN". Obama wants the government to control everything so what better way to do that than to force this stimulus package on a hurting economy. Businesses can either refuse to take the help or fail. If they take the help, they are under his control and his regulations. Under his control, he can dictate their business practices. We've seen that with the auto industry and the whole we'll give you money but only if you manufacture this certain type of car... which happen to be cars that most people cannot afford and don't want to buy at this point.

The package does very little to actually stimulate the economy and produce jobs from everything I have heard. I know in Chicago Walmart is trying to open more stores in Chicago, which Chicago has been fighting for a while... yet now because of the economy it sounds like they might actually be considering it because although Walmart is non-union, just building the stores would create MANY union jobs, not to mention all the jobs the walmarts would create as well as the tax revenue from the products sold at the Walmarts. That is something that will stimulate the economy... what is Obama doing???

I think that Obama bought his election with our tax dollars. That is what this stimulus is about, promises that Obama made to people if he got elected. I think the media is so biased too because they can get their hand in the cookie jar if they favor Obama. It's all about money.

If McCain had the money that Obama did, then I think it would have been even closer. Before too long people are going to wake up and figure what this guy is about. I already have a friend that voted for him who's questioning the wisdom of that choice. He can't play this one note that he played during the campaign for 4 yrs and not get caught.

What's interesting about that is that Obama and the "liberals" didn't take the election by a landslide in the popular vote. Last time I checked, we gave them a run for their money. And money is really what it took. My sister, also a conservative, saw a thing that was done by a major network news about how they were here to shape the thinking and attitudes of the country... what's up with that? Last time I checked, media was supposed to be unbiased and leave their politics at the door.

If conservatism is dead, why did Obama have to move to the right, and act more conservative to get elected?

Socialism is the "trendy" thing to be right now. It's sickening. I have a friend who says she's a socialist. I told her to rent the movie 'The lives of others'. Then maybe she'll see how evil it is. Has anyone seen it? It's an excellent movie.

Just like that Democrat that said that the Republicans were in serious trouble for 2010. Guess that moron didn't realize that it's his party running everything and that if they did nothing (like they've been doing) that they may be the ones in trouble.
