I am a scientist so I can tell you for sure that if you don't buy into the theory of evolution you will not pass Bio 101. I actually wrote a paper about the hypocrisy of forcing this THEORY on people as if it were fact. I personally am getting really sick of the "PC" world to everything and everyone accept Christians. When did it become ok to attack and abuse Christians, but it's not ok to say that being Gay is a sin. It really pisses me off! Everybody doesn't have to believe in the Bible but they need to quit calling us "crazy" and "bible beaters" and the funny thing is many of these women call themselves Christians.

Did you see Ben Stein's movie, Expelled?  I think that movie is supposed to be exactly what you are talking about.  It really bothers me that people automatically think you're dumb, but because you are a Christian or are a conservative.  It's what they do, though.

My university was veeerrrrry liberal.  Put it this way, it was a theatre school and it was a VERY gay school.  Like almost 50%.  Crazy!  Of course, I knew none of that before I went there!  I went there for the college of arts, I was a graphic design/photography major, which was supposed to be very good.  I didn't graduate, had to run off, get married, and move to Japan! lol  oh well.  Maybe I'll go back one day.  But just because I don't have a degree doesn't make me ignorant of political issues, you know?  I read plenty of books and I've lived enough places to see the way things work and I have a pretty good grasp of what is going on.  College is great, but it doesn't make you politically astute, necessarily.

Gina, it totally isn't your fault. You go over there to apologize and you see that they are talking crap about you behind your back? They did the same thing to me all the while trumpeting how we should be decent to eachother and stuff. Two faced is a good way to describe it, as much as I'd hate to admit. I don't like to think the worst about people, but what else can you call that behavior? We seemed to be all getting along just fine and they would act all friendly and civil, but when you go over to OM or to their profiles, you see how they are talking about you. Happened to me, too. I make a point of never calling names, but they just can't help but do just that. Sad, we were having some informative banter over there.

It's not your fault at all, it's theirs. They like to complain about being attacked when they aren't and then they go and attack you for no reason. It's just how some liberals are.

Sorry guys, I feel it is partly my fault. I really should have handled things better. I am just not used to be around a liberal, and couldn't believe how two faced they are. I have noticed that most conservative women are more like what you see is what you get, and when you are behind closed doors we don't back stab eachother. I haven't looked over there yet, and don't really want to. I just can't believe how mean and nasty they can be.

Also as far as the PHD comment. That is how they acted, that if you weren't as knowledgable as they are then you're not as smart as them. To tell you the truth, when they post things that are so long, I don't really have the time or patience to read it all. It just felt like they think the longer they make their posts the smarter they are!

You know, Christa, I completely agree. They talk about how we need to find common ground and stuff, but when we state why we feel certain ways and they disagree, they leave. It's like kids in a sandbox...the kids doesn't like what the other kid said and they stomp off and take their toys home with them. I mean, I think they are frustrated that they are not changing our minds over there. Like we are their students to be taught and when they don't feel like they are swaying us, they leave. I don't know about you, but they frustrate me just as much, but I don't see the need to leave. They said they just needed to cool off. I don't get it, but oh well!



Just because we are not all products of Universities doesn't mean our thoughts, feelings, and experiences are not valid. My convictions are products of what I have experienced at every stage in my life. I know they don't believe in the whole "college brainwashing" that seems to be going on in our universities nowadays, but I experienced it firsthand. I only went for a year and really had no idea that college would be so liberal. I had never really thought about it. I was more liberal back then too. What those professors were trying to shove down our throats was a load of crap and I knew it. You can tell that they have never lived in the real world. It makes me worried to send my own kids off to college one day...



Just last month my hubby was telling me about this guy he works with. He is very conservative and so was his son. Well, he sent his son off to Harvard and by fall break, the kid was a liberal! It didn't take Harvard long to brainwash him, they must be reaaaaaly good over there! lol This kid is a cop's son, so he should know better, but the mind control is strong, I guess.



I do hope other libs come on over. We'll see.....

I agree, I'm really disappointed at what was said over there. I thought we were, at the very least, developing a mutual respect for one another, but that is hard to do when you see them saying that we suck. So much for respecting each others opinions. I'm still hoping some other liberal or moderate women will come on over.
