I think it is a joke! We have only been collecting weather data for the last 120 or so years. That is a mere second in the life of the planet. I think it is just natural cycles. I think pollution is a problem. I feel more focus should be on some of the other emmissions (particulate matter) that could be causing poor air quality. Personally, I don't think this is something govenrments should be wasting their time with right now. We have more pressing problems.

I agree. Its just another way of obtaining money for non needed groups. What are they going to do with the countries who pollute more than we do? Been proven... the earth is changing constantly... Has been since the beginning of time. Wonder how they are going to stop nature's changes?

I think that the weather is un predicatble.. and we cannot control the weather.. God has created everything different. God has created the world like this for a reason, so why change how God has created it.. I mean people are spending so much money on research on Global warming and how we should change the world to make the climate warmer, why can they not spend the money on other things, which are better.

This is the thing, first there was nothing. Then massive amounts of heat produced a planet. Then the planet cooled to freezing, and anything past that is "global warming." Now to me that's just a plain weird way of thinking.



I'm with you lets take care of our planet, but lets not legislate "global warming" policies that are going to tax us to death forever.

I'm sorry, but you would be wrong about it not costing anything. A new, hybrid car costs about $5k more than the same car, non hybrid. And even with the higher gas mileage, it would take 10 years to offset the extra cost. I've already done the research. We need to be good stewards of our planet, but we need to be practical too

Has anyone noticed how they're moving towards "global climate change" now that they realize the earth ISN'T WARMING?! Something is terribly wrong when humans tend to care more about a plant and/or an animal than a human. It's OK to have an abortion, but don't you DARE cut down that 100 year old tree!!! There's HUGE money in this agenda and none of it is doing a damn thing to change our climate. Ann Coulter's "Godless" does an EXCELLENT job of explaining the religion of liberalism. Check it out! Also, it's a bit of a difficult read, but "Saving the Environment from the Environmentalists" is also a great book.

Did you hear that CO2 was just listed as a pollutant??? Ok..so something that occurs naturally in nature via cows...or humans exhaling, is a pollutant??? Can anyone else believe what nonsense people are falling for nowadays?? Ugh! I'm so sick of this 'green' nonsense!

I do recycle and do what I can to conserve water and energy resources - in fact I recycle 2x as much as my neighbors, but I'm sitting here waiting for whatever else

I know we are not nice to this planet but I do firmly believe that GW is a crock to push a liberal agenda. After spending a week in California I can see that even in THAT state not everyone rides in a "green" car and I saw more H3's and F150's than you could imagine! My daughter lives out there and tells me that several of her pals buy the green cares just to get to work (riding in one means you can ride solo in the car pool lanes which are faster) but then change to their "real" cars for all the rest of their driving! I thought, wow that's smart but kind of defeats the purpose. I recycle, use less water and try to be as green as possible in my cleaning products etc. Why? For the same reasons I read labels on foods I bring into my home, I don't drink sugar free ANYTHING and I won't take all the new fangled "fiber" products. They aren't healthy. I too believe that weather conditions are cyclical and there is carbon proof that there were longer warmer trends back in the 1300's than we are seeing now. Yes I do think places like China, India and other emerging 3rd world places need to do MORE than we do but as far as GB causing the mass evacuation of NYC (as ore thinks) in 2015, well I just don't buy it. Don't you think these "claims" run in cycles? I remember the 70's when we had Woodsie the Owl. I do think that our solid waste is MORE of an issue than out carbon output quite frankly. Where to put all of our trash is far more concerning and yet, you don't hear anything about that. Its all about the emissions. We should have been like Glen Beck and taken out the chainsaws on Earth day. He cracked me up! LOL

Im all for taking care of the earth but im soooooo sick of hearing about "green living". Everyone pushing this lifestyle doesn't even live it themselves. Until Al Gore and all these idiot celebs stop wasteful spending and taking private jets everywhere im not going to give a crap what they think I should be doing.

I really think it's all about money. There are so many "green friendly" items on the market now, people saw a trend and they jumped on it so they could make some money. Hopefully it will die out soon because it's driving me crazy,



Did anyone see Glenn Beck yesterday? It was funny he did a segment on a "green" lightbulb that if it breaks you have to clear out the room because it's toxic. Not only is it toxic but it comes from China so how does it get here? By a big evil oil fueled ship when you could just get a regular lightbulb made in America. Well actually you can't because the govt banned them because they aren't "green". What a joke.

Today is earth day, and it's all I am hearing about on the channels my kids watch, like Nickelodeon. Don't get me wrong, I believe in taking care of our planet, but all of this madness of going green, is annoying me to no end. It just makes me want to do everything to annoy the liberals. The founder of the Weather Channel wants to sue Al Gore for Fraud over this issue. Think about the "scientific" propaganda Hitler used on the Germans. He had leading scientists claiming proof that Arian blood was cleaner than any other blood; it was very convincing!

The fact is the world had a "global warming" in the 1100's, and we have not even reached the rise in temperature they saw, yet. About 300 years later (St. Francis of Assisi's time) was a "cooling"! St. Francis is the saint of nature, yet.

They have proven themselves LIARS enough times in the last 20 years, how can we continue believing their propaganda?

Jen, I've watched the Kent Hovind videos also... he came to our very, very small town a long time ago and was very interesting - but it gave my (at the time) young kids the foundation to counter the liberal public school textbooks with our creationism background.

I've recently read that Dianne Feinstein is opposed to putting solar panels in the Mojave Desert. She is trying to have it declared a national treasure or something. Nineteen companies submitted proposals for solar and or wind energy over 500,000 acres, but she complained that it would violate the spirit of what conservationist had intended when they donated the land to the public.

So we're supposed to abandon our coal and nuclear and turn to all these "green" forms of energy... but we can't actually build them where they are going to BOTHER anyone for THE LOVE OF PETE!!! Where exactly do they think all the solar panels and turbines are going to be built??? And they aren't exactly unobtrusive - duh!!!

Now we're going to save the earth by banning the COLOR BLACK on automobiles... it's crazy - how bad is this going to get before we say enough already...

The sun causes most of our warming and cooling.  Studies have shown that when there is a lot of sunspot activity, the planet gets warmer and when there is little or no activity, the planet gets cooler.  The planet has actually been cooling for the past 10 years and the ice in the arctic is getting larger.  Have you noticed the liberals have been using the term Climate Change now instead of Global Warming?  They will use any excuse necessary to implement the policies that will crush our nation.

I'm 31, when I was in school it just wasn't an issue. We learned about the  ice age, and that the earth has natural climate cycles. To think that it's caused my man is just crazy to me. I am not ignorant in the fact that we do need to clean up after ourselves, and keep the planet nice, but I just think it's crazy that so many people think it's caused by man. I am just worried that they will start taxing us on the air we breathe because it puts carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

I live by big dairy's and they are talking about someday taxing each cow for the air they breathe. It is just so stupid!!!!

Global Warming... Where to start on it.. It has been proven that the Earth goes through shifts of weather patterns that lead to severe cold and warm cycles. It may be fact that the extra pollution that mankind has made has helped these cycles run faster than usual but they did not in anyway cause the cycle to begin with. It's true that we are in for a rough ride with weather since the ice is melting. since the fresh water is more dense than it's salt water counterpart. the water will not carry like it's supposed to and thus cause the temperature to drop. In the end we will be looking at another iceage type climate. However like I have said this is not because humans but because it's the way the Earth does things. Perhaps humans did speed it up a bit but we can't tell by how much if any.

I think it's a bunch of crap.  It allows academia to research endlessly on our dime and they are NEVER held accountable for whether or not they come up with real answers.  I have worked in the field (in neuroscience) and I have seen and heard tale of data being spun to get more and more grant money.  Just like they're doing with this global warming nonsense. 

I also think it's a manufactured crisis that the libs are using to divert attention away from REAL issues they don't care about, like terrorism.  They will apologize and excuse terrorists and say how they're just misunderstood but HEAVEN FORBID YOU BURN SOME STYROFOAM!  You're killing the mother Gaia!!  OH NOES!  I actually had someone say that WE are the terrorists and that the people in Gitmo should go free!  INSANE!

So yeah, I think it's a steaming load of smoke-and-mirrors crap to take attention and money away from real issues.

Golbal Warming? I am no scientist, so I just don't know. I am not going to say, though, that just because I am a diehard conservative that I don't believe it. I just don't know. It does seem to be the flavor of the month though. It's big in Hollywood, so everyone's into it. I do think that it is a very sneaky way for the government to easily manipulate people and restrict their rights in the name of doing something "honorable." I tend to be very skeptical of the whole idea of Global Warming for the reason I just gave, but I am willing to rinse a few cans and bottles to throw in the blue bin instead of the trash. I am also more than willing to save a few dollars on gas by dirving a more fuel efficient car. I think the big companies are more responsable than I am. I don't think that because I forgot my cloth grocery bags last week that I am responsible for Katrina (actually my namesake!)

I've been thinking it's pretty hypocritical of the democrats lately especially Obama to worry so much about global warming, yet Obama will fly his jet to Denver to sign the stupid stimulus. His jet takes 10,000 gallons of fuel to fly there one way, they said that takes the average American about 20-30 years to go through that much gas. I just say if they're so worried they need to practice what they preach.

I think weather runs in cycles. It is a "religion " pushed by the libs to try to make us feel guilty. We are already supposed to feel guilty if we want to keep our hard earned money. Or are more successful then our neighbor. Now we are supposed to feel guilty if we want to keep our thermostat at a comfortable temp or we want to drive our cars somewhere. Oh we certainly coul dbe experiencing GW. What is at issue is what are the causes. SO far all the things being presented as facts are still just theories.

For example, the average change in temperatures. Lets start with how the equipment used today is much more accurate. So when they say that temps have change don average less than a degree, how do we know that is true? Not only was the equipment different, but those who were recrding the information were not all trained the same way, or even at all. The first rule in conducting a science experiment is that youmust have consistent data. That means using the same equipment and same process every time. Therefore you cannot compare such slight changes accurately.

The theory does not explain the Little Ice Age.

The study that showed the oceans were warming in just the last few months was shown to be totally flawed and inaccurate. There were problems with the equipment!!!!

Regarding the polor ice melting. We don't know when that ice was formed, many believe it was during the Little Ice Age. Therefore, its melting could be perfectly normal. One man is currently doing a study into how the ice melts and is finding that it is not the way that one would think. That while we may only now be seeing the melting occur, it could likely have been going on for the last 200 years.
