I did my first "sprint" triathlon last years, and it was great! My suggestions for you are:
- have fun with it!
- don't stress in advance: you'll do fine!
- tackle one event at a time while you're doing it, and don't get ahead of yourself. Just focus on the swim, and once you're done with that, enjoy your time on the bike, and then enjoy the run as you come down the home stretch!

I did one before I had kids. Be careful with the swim (not sure how experienced you are). I am mainly a runner who bikes, not a swimmer and it was very overwhelming to be in the water with a lot of other people kicking and splashing. good luck!
