Any suggestions? I like Java Mama, but it is a little far from my house - I live in Clairemont and Java Mama is in La Mesa. Any other places (coastal) that you like and recommend?

i've been to kidsville in poway. they are a little spendy at 8 per child. but there is a cafe with coffee and snacks which is nice. My 3 year old daughter had fun there, as well as my 5 month old boy. He liked watching the other kids play.

El Cajon also has Playtown right down the street from the Boardwalk, much better for small kids. Also, I have inside Westfield Parkway Plaza they have a small soft play structure for the kiddos. Prior to this pregnancy I walked the mall with the kids and would stop and let the kids play. We also did some play-dates there. North County Fair may have something similar since Westfield is trying to be family-friendly in general.

Is Bonita too far for you? The shopping Center in Bonita has a great area for little ones and it is free. They also have a train ride that take the kids around the mall. The cost is $3.00 I am not sure if you'll have to pay.

Boardwalk in El Cajon but then again it's not coastal and its more for 4 years and up. My 2 year old has a hard time with the softplay gym and there isn't really much for him to do there but my 4, 9 and 11 year olds love the place.

It may be a long way away, but there is Play Werx in Carlsbad- it has a huge play structure and separate areas for little ones. They charge admission- $5 per child, I think.
