I'm interested in the list of companies you have compiled. If you would share with me or point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm with an awesome company. If you have a good mentor and treat it like a business, you can succeed. It helps that I love the products. If anyone is interested, I'd be happy to share :)

Ya that is true...I just love the products so I figure worse case senerio I just will sell products under myself with out having to sign people up. That way other people can get the benefits of such a great product!

I tried Melaleuca. The problem with that is trying to get people to join, and I found most people just didn't get "it".

I sell Avon, Regal, Melaleuca and Discovery Toys. I love it!! It's great to be able to be home with the kids. If anyone is interested in any information about any of the products please message me and I would be glad to help. I can also sign people up if you would like to sell as well.

Hi Joanna-There actually are legitimate home based business where you work for someone else and get a paycheck. I think you have to do your research and find others that are doing it so you know if it's real and not a scam. I currently work for a company out of my home as a virtual assistant and have worked for 3 different companies doing this so I know they are out there:)
As far as direct sales or owning your own business. Maybe you have to look for something new and exciting to your area...which also comes with difficulties as in no support near you but will give you open territory to explore and share. Make sure you love what you are doing and that you have strong people in the company helping you be successful!
I do have a list of legitimate work from home companies if you are interested. I haven't worked for them all but compiled it by asking other people. Many of the companies were not hiring when I was looking but you just never know.
Good luck hon & have a beautiful day!

I have been in other direct sales before and started my own business but then sold it when I found Scentsy. it is Wickless Candle company that just opened in Canada Oct. 09 so you could be the first in your area. Amazing growth potential and no competition yet. Its been in the U.S. for almost 6 years now and is exploding. This maybe something that could work for you... I am having a blast and very doable even with my five young kids.

I am currently selling Regal, and it is really great! No monthly quotas, and you can build a customer base fairly easily with some free advertising. People can now buy the product and have it shipped straight to them if they use a credit card. So easy!!

Personally, I tried one of those work from home things, I just couldn't do it. It was costing me too much money a month to stay current. But I have found something that I love!! I'm with 2 different companies that do home parties. I'm with Kidsmart, it's a company out of BC that sells children's toys and accessories and I'm also with Usborne Books. In case you're not familiar with Usborne Books, we are a children's book publisher out of the UK that sells most of it's books through home parties. It's great because there are very few places that you can get Usborne Books. I love that I'm building my son a wonderfully huge library full of beautiful books for nearly nothing.

If you would like to know anymore about either of these companies, you can either message me or check out my Facebook Group: Carolyn's Kidsmart & Usborne Books Group - Portage la Prairie.

Good luck in your search!

i tried one once, and it was a total scam- as far as trying to do something like avon or party light that's hard to do because there is usually someone else already doing it in the same place if you know what i mean. It would be nice if there was more availble options for a small income for stay at home moms.

Some of them are very good but others are not. Check out the ones you are intersted in and if they ask for money up front then they are no good. Me I sell both Tupperwear and Avon and they keep me busy and it is a very easy way to meet people, as that is the hardest thing for a sahm to do. I wish I had of started them both a long time ago.
