I am currently 5 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby and cant stop worrying about it. I have a ten year old daughter and a 3 year old son and I am worried about how it will affect them. I am completely against abortion but for those of you who have 3 children; how did your first two react? Did they accept new baby? Do you feel like they were sometimes pushed aside or do you find it easy to split your time between three of them??

I have 3, and I guess I don't completely understand why you are so worried about this. Was it really hard for your daughter when your son was born? If you have enough time and love for the two of them to share (and I'm sure you do), then it will be the same for this one. If your daughter is 10 she should be old enough to handle it well and even be a help. Plus, she's in school, so you can split your time between your son and the new baby while she's gone during the day, and hopefully have some special time with her in the evenings.

My 3 are fairly close in age (1st 2 are 20 months apart, 3rd is almost 3 years younger than the 2nd, so my oldest was 4.5 when the youngest was born). I remember worrying when I was pregnant with my second that two babies would be too much, and my oldest wouldn't get enough attention, but by the time I was having the third I knew it would be fine, because I had done it before.

When you tell your kids about the new baby, just make sure they understand how much they are loved and how much they will be able to teach their new brother or sister, and I think they will accept it fine. Good luck!
