I have a 4 1/2 yr old little boy who has been potty trained since he was almost 3....the last few months he has been having accidents in his pants....I have tried everything that I can think of to get him to stop. We have had a lot of changes going on at home, my husband lost his job and was home a lot and now he is back to work and not home as much because his hours are different. Then we also found out that we are expecting our second child and we have also moved so I think that all this is a little much for him and that this is his way of telling us he isn't liking it. I just don't know what else to do...things are going to change more in the next two weeks when our daughter is born. If anyone has any advice I would love to hear it. I just don't know what else to do at this point!

My best friends little boy was having this problem. He was potty trained and then he stopped going poop in the potty. She had to take him to the doctor because he was just not going at all. The doctor recommened that she put him on the potty at the same time every day. My other friends little boy was wetting the bed every night and she does not give him anything to drink after 7 pm and she makes him go to potty before he goes to bed. She makes him get up and go straight to the bathroom in the morning as well. This only lasted a few weeks for both of my friends little boys before they got their bodies retrained. Hopes this helps

Thank you for the advice...I am willing to try anything...he is also having poopy accidents so I am going to just set the timer and make it so he has to sit on the potty a few times a day to try and go poop...I am just really stressed about the whole situation...he is in pre-school and I don't want him going to school and messing in his pants. I am afraid other kids would make fun of him and what mom wants that for their child. I wish that I had been able to control all the events that have happened in the last 7months so that he wouldn't have such a hard time adjusting but it was out of my control. Thanks again!

Set an alarm to go off and get him up to use the bathroom once or twice a day with the new baby coming when ever you get up to feed go take him to potty once he can stay dry start cutting it back to once a night... make sure he is getting plenty of drinks and potty time during the day and go right before bedtime... Do not make a big deal of him wetting the bed tho it is sending him wrong attention.. I know how tired you are Mine are 3 years apart and had the same problem with my oldest when I found out I had another on the way... I started lettting my oldest pick out stuff for the baby only BIG Kids can do so a wet free night meant she got to pick what blanket went into the bag for the hospital and so forth I hope this helps good luck and God bless
