Baby throws up if I let her cry it out.

My baby is almost a year old. She gets up any where from 3 times to 7 times a night. I am exhausted! I have tried to let her cry it out and she threw up everywhere! Any suggestions as to how I can get her to sleep through the night? I feed her plenty during the day and she gets apples and cereal before bed plus she nurses before I put her down. Thanks

yep, both my kids did this throwing up thing...I just ended up putting them in bed with me to sleep, of course it's kinda like a double edged sword, you get sleep, but it's tough as nails to get them to get back into their own bed.

I think that's a clear sign that CIO is not going to work with this baby.

I second the recommendation of The No-Cry Sleep Solution. It has a lot of ideas for getting everyone more sleep, and none of them involved CIO.

If it helps at all, frequent night waking at that age is absolutely normal. I remember my DD seemed to nurse all night some nights when she was 13-14 months -- I had just gone back to work after my mat leave, and she was reverse-cycling because she was still not too keen on solid foods :P. Fortunately we co-slept full time at that point, so it wasn't as much of a problem as if I'd been getting up to nurse her half a dozen times every night.
