I am in the process of forming a "promise voucher book" for our local schools Mothers Day stall. I did the same last year with things like "I promise to eat all my vegies at dinner time", "I promise to give an extra long cuddle when Mum wants it" and "I promise to clean my room"...not all bad jobs like taking out the garbage, but nice stuff too like promising to watch a DVD together.

As I have used these last year, I am looking for ideas from Mums with school aged kids for suggestions on what would help them out around the house and/or nice things they have done with their kids that could be included in the "promise book".

I look forward to hearing your responses!!!

I couldn't help but smile as I read your post. What a great idea! It sounds that you are trying to build memories http://bit.ly/HLXaDF. I came across this article: http://bit.ly/HdN4Af during my time at Focus on the Family that may help you accomplish your lovely task. May God continue to bless you and your family.

Thanks Sol4J,

That link you sent has given me some great ideas. I especially like the 3 for 1 rule and plan to apply it to our house and our name-calling children!

Thanks again, Carolyn
