Consequences for silent treatment (9 year old girl)?

When my daughter gets mad at her friend, she simply stops talking to her. And then holds on to it until it explodes after a tiny, inconsequential issue. She sees her friend every morning so this has become a daily struggle and, simply, a big issue.

Her friend's mom and I have sat them down to talk through their problems and there has been follow up after that to nip their problems in the bud. There doesn't seem to be much effort on my daughter's part to move past the original issue.

I'm working on my end to solve some of my own "modeling appropriate conflict resolution", but does anyone have any good consequences or even another point of view I can't think to address with her?

I'm working on her toolbox and need some other parents to help me collect the hammer and nails!

Personally I'd let her deal with her own issues with her friend and stay out of it. You've already sat them down and talked it out... maybe she doesn't WANT the friendship anymore....
