HELP WITH MY 6 YEAR OLD

MY DAUGHTER IS 6 AND EVERY TIME SHE WANTS SOMETHING AND DOSENT GET IT SHE HITS THE FLOOR THROWING THE BIGGEST FIT EVER.SHE'S NOT A ONLY CHILD AND SHES NOT SPOILED.I AM A SINGLE MOM DOING MY BEST AND I DON'T KNOW HOW TO CONTROL HER.ANY ADVICE PLEASE LET ME KNOW..

Sorry but you're your own worst enemy. Let your daughter know that you were wrong before to give in but from now on you won't and DON'T!!! I've got a 6 year old who is very demanding. I think about his requests and work with him if it's reasonable. I do give options of jobs for rewards or a time frame for when he could get what he wants. I've also flat out said no. If he gives me a problem about it I punish him and let him know that he will never change my mind by pitching a fit. Good luck - I know I need it - there are some days when bungee cords and duct tape look so tempting ;)

Don't give in. You do it once than she will do it again. It helps to change the subject quick at time before she gets to that point. Like if she wanted a peice of candy, ask her if she could help you clean or cook than you would consider something she likes just as much like a book or computer time or even that candy.

sometimes she will go on for hours and not give up.i do admit i do give in sometimes only cause i cant take it anymore
