ok my question is... How do you help ur child with math or sciece homework that u urself dont understand. I just ask my self " Did i even learn this when i was in school??" The teaching methods are just soooo different and i am confused most of the time. I swear even the 2nd grade math has me stumped at times. lol any suggestions would be greatly appriciated!!! Thanks

Thank you!! i never thought of adding for kids after what we are looking for. We do have him tutoring at school. And have used the computer of several occasions to help with homework. there are some great sites out there.

I teach 7th grade science, so I understand what you're talking about. I would rather have a child stay after school with me and get help than not be able to do the work at home. I suggest that you find someone who can help your child, whether it be the teacher, another family member, or a friend. When my son was little (he's 14 now) I needed someone to help him with his reading. He wouldn't read for me to save his life. Anyways, I approached the school and asked if there were any teachers (or often times assistants) that were willing to tutor outside of school. I had an assistant come to my house and help him. She helped tremendously. If these options don't work for you, you can always "google" the material that is on the assignments. I find that if I put "for kids" behind what I'm googling, I get results appropriate for my students in simpler terms.
