How do I get my kids to sleep in their own bed?

My kids are almost 5 and 8 and neither of them will sleep in their own bed. My 8 yr old is the worst. She is attached to my hip. I've tried to explain to her that "mommy and daddy need alone time" and she says "No way". My younger one is ok with sleeping in his own bed but when his sister won't go, he ends up sleeping in our bed too. My husband hates sleeping in the bed when the kids are in here because there's no room so he ends up in another room. What can I do?

I had this issue with my daughter, she is 5. She would crawl into bed with us. The only thing that worked for us was being firm. I gave her a night light. She would throw a tantrum, suck up to daddy to get her way. It will be hard but the only way that worked for us was to be firm and make her sleep in her bed. Every time she gets up, the first time tell her bed, after that don't say anything just quietly put her back to bed without saying anything. Also don't stay in the room with her, if you do to her she is still getting her way.
