My 9 year old grandson"s father has 4th stage cancer. His parents are divorced but his father lives nearby and sees the boys often. Sean is having trouble in school, constantly talking about his sick father. How does one reassure an autistic child about death and the impending loss of his father?

as with any child you try to find away they will understand. The most important thing is to remind him that his father loves him and would rather be with him. You may need to talk to the school counselor or someone who regularly works with children like your grandson. he will probably continue to get in trouble after his fathers death. Just love him and guide him and seek help for him. The worst thing you could do is nothing.
