We are seeking parents who want their children to grown up as naturally as possible in an urban environment.

We are growing awareness for the sake of making sustainable living more attainable for urban parents. It's getting easier with farmer's markets and the increase of community gardens where children can see a connection to the earth and food. Other parents we know are growing veggies in huge pots on their fire-escapes and taking bike rides around the City as opposed to cars/public transport. We can see the trends and will are there.

Thank you so much. At Baby Does NYC we are finding more and more parents making choices such as going local for product, staying in the City at the weekends and doing community events and visiting farmer's markets. We are actively seeking parents with a particular view from a NYC neighborhood to give us a collective grassroots perspective. Guest Bloggers welcome, interviews and articles, and FREE promotions of smaller biz's on our weekend listings. Share an event with us. babydoesnyc@gmail.com and babydoesnyc.blogspot.com. Looking forward to sharing great information with our fellow New Yorkers. Jak Burke Founder @ Baby Does NYC.

Your lifestyle choices are your own. If you have room, grow a garden. If not, try container gardening. If you're allowed, keep a couple of chickens in a coop...

Or, alternatively, you can check out local resources such as farmer's markets, co-op exchanges, etc.
