That's a great question! When I was young, I went through puberty a lot earlier than everyone I knew. It caused me to gain weight. I was overweight and concerned about it. I ended up playing a lot of sports. My parents encouraged me to be active. I do wish, however, I had more support from them at home in terms of supporting my efforts to eat really healthy foods. I wanted my mom to be an example for me and help me with it, but she never did. She would eat a cupcake and tell me I couldn't have one because I was trying to be healthy. Not supportive. So, basically I think the best way to go about this is to just demonstrate to her your healthy lifestyle. Make it look normal and fun and part of everyday life! I wanted to be just like my mom growing up, so I'm sure your daughter will want to follow in your footsteps :) Girls really look up to their moms!
