Hello Everyone, I am new to this....I am looking for ideas to put some weight on my son. He is almost 11 and weighs about 62 pounds. He has been diagnosed with ADHD and is on meds. I try my best to feed him as much as I can before and after his meds. I am constantly trying to get him to eat but lately it is a chore. He is never hungry. He also has psoriasis and lately has has very bad joint pain. He doesnt want to do anything, even walking down the stairs seems to hurt him. I am very concerned and need some ideas??? Do the boost drinks, etc help??? I try to feed him peanut butter and nutella as much as I can..I buy junk food for only him and he eats like a pig in the middle of the night, but still he doesn;t gain weight. I would love some suggestions...

Thanks,

A concerned Mom who loves her son

Thanks for your reply... She is a little worried about his weight but not to the point in sending him to a nutritionist yet. We are trying to feed him as much as we can. We are both keeping an eye in him and watching his development.

has the doctor expressed any concerns about his weight? Also has the doctor mentioned anything about seeing a nutritionist? I know they sent us to one and it helped a lot. My Daughter is 10 1/2 and weighs a little over 50 pounds. She has been thin since birth and I was also very thin up to my 40's and I am still average weight.

Avacados are great, peanut butter, boost and shakes that have protein in them.

I would say before you worry too much get him in for a good check up first.
