my daughter is going to be 5 next month n she is in headstart...what fun for me....it took her about a month to start eating in school, n she drinks alot of milkwhen she eats buthere is the thing....she will not use the potty in school, i go to class with her to volanter in her class n even with me there she will not go i have tryed everything, her doc. has even talked to her about it but nothing...i dont know what else to do...does anyone have any ideas..anything would be great

she doesnt use a potty seat..she wont got in school but when ever we go somewhere she has to use the bathroom n she goes she just dont go in school....

If she is doing good, and not 'going' on herself, I'd let let it run it's course. My 4 year old (be 5 in May) stated Pre-K this year and he did the same thing: wouldn't eat, or drink at school, he did use the potty though. But we just had to let him get used to the invironment and work it out for himself. I actually had to send some snacks from home and a sippy cup that he used here at home, to school so that he could have something from his usual invironment. Does she use a special 'potty seat' that sits on top of the regular 'potty'? If so, maybe you could take that to school and try it. Just a suggestion. Good luck!

I'm the same way as your daughter -I've always been like that. As long as she's not having accidents just give her time. It takes me a good month to feel comfortable enough to use a work restroom and I remember a time when I could go up to a year before I could do it.
