I have it and it's heriditary. Without being treated over a long period of time, can cause esophageal cancer. Please exhaust all of your resources and have her looked at. Good luck and God Bless.

My children went to a allergist for it. Make an appointment it is more serious than you realize. The can get breathing problems or vocal cord dysfuntion or it can go through the lining of the stomach or esophagus. It can also affect the heart if left untreated.

MY children are on medication that heals the problem. They are getting older and don't get reflux anymore. Robin Courtney

Has she ever been prescribed antibiotics or does she eat alot of starch, dairy or sugars? If so, I would suggest researching candida. My son had the constant reflux among many other symptoms and Doctors were no help. Don't rely entirely on any diagnosis! Finally took him to Naturpath who treated him and he's been fine ever since. I would start with the Doctor just to see what he has to say but I had a horrible experience getting them to believe anything was wrong in the first place.
