my son has always had the same problem, turned out to be mostly allergies. although his pediatrician did say that some children my be more prone than others. i use a cool mist humidifier, and now that he's a little older we like using a saline nasal wash. he says it always makes his nose feel better.

Once you have ruled out any medical cause, you might see if you can just keep it moist by running a humidifier if you live in a dry climate. Also, try keeping a food journal and see if what she eats affects it -- my ds gets them if he eats too much food dye as food dye can act as a blood thinner.

This happened to me in high school and it turned out to be just low iron levels. I would just get her checked by the doctor.

This happened with my son and I was told because he is growing so fast his skin is stretching and if it is dry out his nasel membrains are cracking causing the bleeding. It apparently is very normal especially in boys.
Hope that helped!

my son had the same problem caused by a ruptured blood vessel in his nose. Most likely caused by severe allergies. The Dr's ended up cauterizing his nose 3 times. It's now been 3 years since he's really had one. They used to be so bad! Very big clots and pouring out like there was a personal faucet in there. Ask your Dr. They'll know whats best

She may have allergies and her nose dries out during the spring season. Or it could be because she's picking at the inside of her nose too much...does she pick her nose?
