My lit boy is 14mo. & constantly throws fits. He will not listen to me for most part.. He will not listen when I tell him no & throws hug fits. I always try to explain, but he always shakes his head no & tries hitting me. Even after his punishment he'll go right back.. I use a old play pen for a time out box.. HE is my first child & I have no idea what to do

i think for somtime its ok to tell your child you'll get him big BALL or a car / dinosaurus etc etc .... to calm down your child... and when he does it just switch on some intresting cartoon for him that has good rhyme song , like my son when he was in his toddlers age he was just quite same. but when Barney is on and its music and dance start my baby get calm and really pay attention to it.

I think Barney works. TRUST ME !!

Its impossible to reason with them at that age...they just don't get it. Tell me, what ends his fits? What makes him stop? That might help figure out a way to respond to him. But, basically, at that age, you have to distract them when they start to lose it. Just re-direct him to something he enjoys so he forgets that he's mad. Later, when he's older, you can explain his behavior to him.
