is there any groups in your neighborhood, eg. cubs scouts rainbows, things he can join in and then make new friends so that he can find out who lives in your area and then he has a hobby as well as making friends.

find out why he has no friends, talk to his teacher. he may be very quiet or it maybe the other kids in his school have singled him out as the wierd one but find out quick before it gets to be a entire school career issue

Is there a scout group in your area? It could be a good way for him to make friends while learning many different skills. It may also help to build his confidence which is important when it comes to making friends.

Sports are big! He doesn't have to be good at them. The opportunity to spend time with other kids his age will make him feel less lonely. Have him pick the sport or activity. Guitar lessons, fall soccer, swim lessons, art classes, as long as it's with kids his own age and doing something he enjoys, he'll feel less lonely. It will also give him more opportunities to meet friends and relate with others.

I would call his teacher and find out how he interacts at school. Then I would put him in lessons, classes, sports, somewhere he can be around kids. Has he never had any friends or is this just recent?
