Go to school and get details. Make sure those involved are spoken to. Explain to your child that such behavior in not acceptable and let her know she can tell you anything. Try not to freak out because they don't want there school friends to get in trouble, even if they themselves feel bad. They don't want to be singled out. Monitor it though.

Where was the teacher when this happened? Give the teacher a call so that this behavior can stop.

Go to the teacher and ask them to keep extra eye on the situation. There is only so much 1 teacher can see out of 30+kids. Chances are that since the kids are only 5 then it's probably nothing to worry about and it's just trivial arguments and shoving but as they progress through school you dont want trivial little things to be escalated when they are older because thats when it gets serious and kids can be cruel. Nip it in the butt now and save all the hassle later.

I would go right into the school and have a meeting with the teacher and the principle. I have told my son that I do not tolorate fighting. However, if someone is pushing you or hitting you and you tell them to stop, and they do not...then I told him that he has every right to defend himself. I do not want him to get pushed around as no mother does. BUT, he knows that they have to start it and that he MUST try to stop it with his words before taking action. But I would definatly talk to your child's school. These things should not be tolorated by them. Best of luck!!

Call the school, tell them what happened, get names and grades. Don't let your child be bullied. I drive a school bus and I tell the parents to have their children tell me when things like that happen and I put a stop to it immediately. No child should have to put up with that and if the school doesn't stop it call the superintendent.

Call the teacher or go in and talk to the teacher, Now a days teachers are very understanding and they dont tolerate things like that.
