Um, my son has aspbergers as well, and it doesn't stop him from communicating...It makes him "different" and he looks at all aspects of life differently from his peers, but its never affected his ability to communicate with me.

At any rate, you still need to speak to the transportation manager, not just the bus aide.

and you said that he IS verbal, so why is he having problems communicating if there are issues?

I told the buss aide the belt was to tight last week. and today she said he had a meltdown when she put him in the seat she thought he wanted to snap it his self she said..but when we got in the house and looked at his stomach there were marks from the belt being to tight..It really hurts me that my son has aspergers and cant tell u when somethings wrong..

You need to speak with the teacher. If you & she agree that he's not benefiting from the special needs classroom, then an IEP (individualized education plan) should be looked into.

As far as the bus aide goes, you need to speak with the transportation department about that. We don't have belts on our buses here, they are considered more dangerous than not having them, and in case of an emergency, one driver and one aide run the risk of not being able to release all of the children in time to get to safety.

Does it seem to be meeting his needs? HOw long has he been in the class? Have you spoken with the teacher about any concerns you may have?
