I'm looking for secular books about different religions that are child friendly. I'm mainly looking for books that talk about the history and beliefs about a variety of religions that don't 'preach' or indoctrinate. Also, if there are any adult books that do the same that would be o'kay, too. Thanks.

Thanks for the idea about the DK books. I'll check those out. I had asked at the library and the children's section of the library, but they didn't have what I was looking for. Thanks again.

I think Dorling-Kindersley have a series of board books on different religions -- you know, the type that are illustrated with photos of actual people and objects. Maybe Eyewitness Books have something similar? Have you tried asking the children's librarian at your local library? That might be a good place to start. Depending on how old your kid(s) are, you might also ask a teacher at their school; elementary teachers in public schools have to teach *about* many different religions without *teaching* any of them, so they might well be able to suggest books.

Good luck!
