My child arrived the neighbor pool at the same time her BFF and her bf brought another friend , at first they were playing rather well then I look over there and the other two girls were tell my girl they really wanted to play on their own and the other little girl really didnt like her . Well the mother got very defensive about the friend that was with the bf and said we just need to let them work it out.

Unless there is something serious going on, then I wouldn't get involved. If they're hitting each other, yes. If they're just arguing, no. If other parents are getting involved, yes, but only to get the other parents to back off. You don't want to leave your daughter undefended, but you have to let her defend herself first.

While the urge to protect and help our kids is strong, letting them find their own feet in some situations will help them lots later in life. I would keep an eye on it, and maybe talk to her about it later at home, but let her have a shot at it first.
