Should parents let their children see them drunk?

My 9 year old saw my husband very drunk and he wanted to give her a kiss and she became quite distressed. I managed to persuade my husband that she would here tomorrow to kiss and he should go to bed. But I was concerned about how upset my daughter was.

No way.

While I'm 100% against any alcohol consumption I don't have a problem w/ someone else's kid seeing their parents have a drink or two responsibly, but being around someone who's drunk? Not a chance.

I love wine! And will have a glass or two once or twice each week. I always wait until after nine when the kids are asleep. They know that the bottle of wine is for adults and that's about it.

My oldest daughter is 15 and she has seen me pour wine and have a few sips. That's about it.

As far as letting your children see their parents drunk. I say no. It's seems awfully irresponsible IMHO.

My children have seen me drinking, but not drunk. Well the adult children have now, but not too drunk.
