I need some advice. My child was doing good about his weight now he has gained it all back. What do I do? How can I help him? He packs his lunch, but some days he wants to eat at school. He says he gets tired of packing. What do I do?

Are you sitting down for breakfast and dinner? Is he drinking water instead of soda or juice? i was worried about that with my oldest but i didn't want to tell him to work out i just started playing with him more outside or always had him in a sport. they are just kids and i think that kids will be fine as long as they are playing outside and have healthy meals. i am a big water pusher. we have one or two jugs of juice a month in our family of 5. if they say they are hungry after dinner i always recommend to drink a big cup of ice water or eat an apple. i used to give lots of treats because i thought it was showing my love to them but i was hurting them instead. good luck and remember he is just a kid and he will be fine as long as you are supporting him with good foods, activities, and most of all lots of love :)

I'm working out with my daughter so she can see feel the support from me. I feel that if I can loose the weight she can too. After all we are in it together. Also I just enrolled her into Taekwondo to enforce the workouts even more. I understand that she is young, but I don't want her to be obese her whole life.

First and foremost you need to attempt to regulate his eating as much as possible. What is he packing for lunch and what is he eating at school? You also should get him involved in some sort of activity. Is he into sports or something? Sign him up for different activities so that he can get moving. Talk to him also about the effects of overeating and obesity in a way in which he can understand how it could possible hurt him as well.
