My son is 4 almost 5 years old. We have been having some behavioral and anger issues for a little while now and they seem to be getting worse and worse. Any time he is not able to get his way, from the smallest thing, he will throw a HUGE fit. I'm talking kicking, punching, screaming, cussing, spitting and recently holes through the wall with the door. We have just started seeing a therapist but it's hard because he doesn't act out during the sessions so I'm afraid she is going to think everything is fine. He has currently gone through his daddy leaving for the Army but even before that his behavior was getting bad. He was then asked to leave daycare because of his uncontrollable behavior there. I know that it is hard with daddy being gone but the "rages" are getting bad. I have tried the time outs where I literally have to put him there and run before I get hit, I've tried the loving and the ignoring and know matter what happens the rages are the same. there is no talking to him while it's happening, just have to wait it out. I'm really hoping to find someone that has gone through something like this and hopefully can give me some insight. I understand kids have temper tantrums but these are not normal. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I will definitely bring it up. I've been thinking he may have ADHD and I think we're looking at some OCD involved, but she hasn't said anything yet since we've only seen her a couple of times now. I know it takes time to diagnose but it's so frustrating for both of us and I just want to help him.

Talk to your therapist about Oppositional Defiance Disorder with aggresive tendencies that is what my son was diagnosed with when he was 4 he was always really aggressive and it escalated to the point where he hit someone at school. I took him to a psychologist who refered us to a pediatric psychiatrist who then diagnosed my son with ADHD and ODD he is now 11 medicated and a joy to be around. Is currently on the honor roll and is successful in dance. There is help out there keep pushing for it
