I'm at my whits end with my 6 years old daughter. If she doesn't get what she wants she whines and cries and whines and so forth. I can't even pick her up from my moms and she starts whinning. Just to clean up her its chore and I'm really almost at the point of taking everything away but the problem is she is so creative that she can still find things that make her happy even a piece of paper lol My son he is the opposite and she has been so stubborn since she was born really colice etc. Anyone at their whits end?

When she whines act as if you do not understand a word she is saying. Tell her you can't understand her when she talks that way. It will be a pain in the rear for a while until she sees that you really are tuning her out when she acts that way then she should stop or at least do it less often. (hopefully)

I hope it is just that a phase because its the longest phase in history. Her and me are very close but I think I'm going to start whinning and join the club.

my oldest is nine and she still whines, but not as much as she use to. i think it's a phase, and when they get older, it will phase out.

My daughter is a handful too! My son is laid back and he listens! My daughter on the other hand, likes to test the water. Pushes me to my limit. My husband gets frustrated with her too but she doesn't do any whining. I suggest, taking everything away. My daughter is also happy with a piece of paper. I've taken that away. The corner works some wonders. She hates the corner. Good luck!
