I was at a family party yesterday and this topic came up, i am a single parent with only one set of grandparents we see family at family occasions they do not come and visit also the grandparents have medical problems now if anything was to happen to me god forbid my daughter more than likely would probably have to go into care (we haven't heard from the father since she was 10m) my sister piped up that we'd look after her meaning members of the family the reason why this isn't an automatic solution for me is that i feel she would be passed between pillar to post i knew that she would say we because she didn't say i would take her in that would be too much of a commitment and i think this would probably do my daughter more harm than good! What do you think?

You need to find a family member or a friend that you trust, maybe a member at your church. None of us is promised tomorrow. Have this done legally. Also do advance directives. You can google this info online for assistance.
