Just curious......can the expression be hooked up to a computer?

I got the cricut expression for Christmas. It's amazing! You can use it for so much more than scrapbooking. I also have the design studio and that makes it even better. You can preview cartridges before you buy them. I highly reccomend it!

Honestly, I only get scrapping done at night when all the kiddies and sometimes even the hubby are sleeping. The only problem is, sometimes Mommy is exhausted, too and I can't seem to get any time in. I heard from some people on here that if you get a Creative Memories consultant, they have days where you just get together and scrap. Im going to look into that one myself. PS - I agree with the other member - try to look on Ebay for some Cricut deals -my hubby scored my first machine on there for a lot less than retail. Take care of yourself.

I have the smaller Cricut machine and I love it.  I got mine for $99 when AC Moore launched their website.  I've seen the Expression for $200 and up.  It depends on how many extras come with it (tool kit, cartridges, etc.).  Look around for Cricut wholesaler websites when buying cartridges.  You should be able to get most cartridges for under $30- new releases for not more than $50.

I have used both Cricut machines and would advise you to get the Expression when you can afford it because the addition features make it more worthwhile than the smaller one. Look around on the internet, also Walmart or Ebay, to find a great deal. Maybe Emily can get you obe or a great price too. It's bigger but worth it. I also suggest to those who don't have much time to scrapbook now to at least take the pics you want and file them writing dates and important info along with them so in the future when you can find the time to scrap your photos will be ready. It's important to at least note the dates, events and people in the photos.

I don't have one but I can order one and sell it to you for a lot less than Hobby Lobby or Michaels. Let me call Cricut and see what my price is. I will also have my stores website done soon and I will let you know when it is up. All my products are going to be 10-30% less than other stores.

So far I see that all that have responded have children. How do you find the time to scrapbook? I need lots of ideas to get myself started back. I want to spend all the time in the wold doing it because it interests me so much but I always put it off to spend time with my kids and maintain a home.

In talking to my friends that have them and looking into purchasing one myself I have found that the price difference is really only about $100 and you can find deals on the expression from time to time as well. I think the additional features seem to be more than worth the extra money and have been advised by friends who have them to just spend the extra and get the expression to start.

Hi Shalena!

I am new to scrapping too, and to the site as well. I had gotten the original Cricut machine and thought it was wonderful but for Christmas my hubby bought me the expression and let me tell you it blows the old one away. He also got me the jukebox so that I could use more than one cartridge at a time and that is a wonderful investment as well. I love the fact that you can cut vinyl and fabric and plan to cut some vinyl lettering/accents for our walls to jazz them up a bit. Good luck!
