How does one begin to scrapbook? Is it better to do the digital or old fashioned with pictures and embellishments? I want to do one for all four of my boys but don't know if I should do one on different stages of their lives or just specific memories.

And Hi Stephanie... I had a hard time starting too. But I found it easy to take one topic (a small one) and start with it. My talent has grown and you can DEFINITELY tell my beginning scrapbooking from the 'now' scrapbooking. My problem is it is now an obsession! Can't scrapbook enough. And when I can't think of something, I walk away from it and come back to it.
It has also helped to have an area that I didn't have to 'clean up' after each time I worked on it.. I have an entire room dedicated to my scrapbooking. And I love my cricut machine. I've heard a lot of good things about the new cricut, and I don't have that one.

Stephanie, there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. I teach both digital and traditional scrapbooking. Some that I've taught insist on scraping chronologically, others prefer to scrap events, vacations etc. I do both, if I'm scrapping our trip to Disney and I feel that all the pages are beginning to look the same I'll switch to Christmas, or birthdays or scenery.
