Hi Ladies
I haven't scrap booked for awhile went to order more pages for my albums was told I have until end of August if stock last to order as Creative Memories decided to go a true 12x12 album now.
I purchased 8 albums last year. It's crazy that I know have to put out over $500.00 in the next few months to keep my albums. I am a bit disappointed because my Consultant should of told me when I bought all the sale albums last year. She told me today that she has been sending out emails for a year now. Because I moved away she forgot all about me even thou I buy on her site on-line all the time.
I feel really overwhelmed by this new News and I having a hard time time finishing a special album for my friend now because of this disappointment.

Just want to let you ladies know but I am sure everyone already know about the albums, paper & page proctors..because she said she has known for a year now.

1. I know it a set of two packages of pages and two page protectors per album I have 8 new albums.

Should I order all white or mix and match my paper?

Thank -you Ladies for listening.

I am looking for 12×12 page protectors my albums are about 5 years old so I'm guessing the old styles. How many you got and how much?

If you see this, leave this form field blank.

I am looking for the 12x12 albums, I have made each of my kids books, and they are overflowing, I would like to add a 3rd for each. I am looking for a pink, and two different shades of blue. I know colors have changed, so they don't need to be exact. Do you have any of the original 12x12 albums with pages and page protectors?

My name is Lisa, and I reside in the State of Georgia. I acquired several CM albums years ago and just found out CM filled Chapter 11 last year.

I have at least 4 of the old style 8 x 10 expanding albums, and I am in desperate need of products for Models CM-10B and CM-10. I need at least 3 packs (each containing 5 sleeves) of the 8 x 10 Portrait Sleeves, at least 3 packs of the 8 x 10 white refill pages, and about 6 packs (each containing 15 sheets) of the 8 x 10 Page Protectors.

Can anyone help me out? Thank you, Lisa email: lizzyellis57@gmail.com

Deb; I'm looking for a creative memories 12x12 album and 2 sets of pages to go in it. Preferrably in red, mulberry, mauve, or something that would look nice with those colors. Are you selling off old stock?

Ladies, Thanks for clarifying the size of the new 12 by 12 album. I think I'll be okay until I use up what I have.

Pet peeve wondering if this bothers anyone else. People discover you *love* scrapbooking and buy you all kinds of stuff (various brands) as gifts that you feel obligated to keep but are afraid to use. I can go with the occasional off brand sticker but not the albums the Dollar Tree sells. What do you do? It's like buying a Dansko lover a Dr. Scholl's clog...

Yes, this is a pet peeve of mine too.   I think it is even worse as a consultant expecially if it is something that Creative Memories sells.   My husband & mom know to ask.   In those times, I make them a list and send him to my Stampin Up consultant - makes it easier for everyone:)

[deleted account]

Sorry to hear that your consultant dropped the ball with you. I know that most of us consultants have sent out many emails/calls on this subject. Even though Creative Memories told us the end to their non-true 12x12 was coming, many people were taken by surprise like you. Sorry for that.

As for feeling overwhelmed on now having to spend the money and completing these 8 albums......

First of, I think you should get a new consultant who can better meet your needs and get you the appropriate information in a timely manner.

Secondly, don't let this paralyze you in your scrapbooking. These albums do not need to be finished this week and I"m sure that you will be able to find what you need to finish these 8 albums. I have also heard, but not tested that the true 12 x 12 pages fit in the old album, but that there is a little overhang. That may be an option if you are ok with that - AGAIN I HAVE NOT TESTED THAT MYSELF.

Also, maybe some of your scrapping buddies would be happy to buy on of your non true albums. This would help cover the cost of some of your pages and protectors and get you transitioned to the True 12x12. But if you are happy with the colors of you not true 12x12 coversets, maybe you could get some of the Creative Memories Power Palettes to speed up the process:)

Although, I do think that you should figure out what pages/protectors you will now, just remember that you eventually were going to have to buy these things (just not all at once). And remember why you are doing this and just enjoy the process!

Thank you everyone for all your suggestions.

I found a wonderful UL Leader with Creative Memories that is helping me out and she only lives in the next town which is great for me. She has found a way for me to save a little money and get some rewards from it also.

I would love to scrapbook with anyone of you ladies anytime. I love hearing new idea and sharing them.

Thank you again

You can also keep them in a special place( the unwanted supplies) and have a crop with your friends ( not the ones that gave you the stuff) then have a table of give aways. People put on the table things they don't want and anyone at the crop can take from the table. An album is a bit much for that but again you can use things like that for projects that don't matter as much to you. An end of year album for a teacher, an album for a young scrapbooker to start out on, or a place to keep all your scrapbooking idea photos. Don't forget to try and make into your conversations with these friends that you only use CM products because they are safe for your photos. Obviously not right after they give you something but in everyday conversation...Oh you should scrapbook with me. I love CM products and use them religiously because they are safe for my photos...Good Luck!

My suggestion is to sell your albums on Ebay and start over with the new size. I have found Ebay to be very competitive price wise but check out what is selling first if you are unsure. I found it to be worth the time to list. Since you got them on sale it might not be too difficult to get your money back if not more. People buy albums, pages and all kinds of other CM products on Ebay. Then you can buy what you need and not worry about running out of supplies. OR you can keep what you have and when CM runs out go to Ebay...although I'm sure the prices will be high if CM is out of stock. Good Luck in whatever you decide to do. It's a shame your consultant wasn't on the ball or honest about what was about to happen.

I use up that stuff when making cards.  I won't put anything in my books that I don't know is safe.  But the occasional sticker might have made it in - the great thing about our pages is the buffering so any acid won't leach over to my pics.  Also, now that I sell it, no one buys me other albums, just the occasional sticker/paper.  If I got any albums, I'd probably let my 5 year old use them.  Or donate them to a kids place.

I love CM stuff! Sorry your consultant didn't keep you in the loop. For the CM Consultants that responded, how different is the new 12 by 12 compared to the original 12 by 12 albums and pages? Just wondering how different they are for those of us trying to use what we have before changing over...

Yeah, as you can see from the website info, the difference is just the size of the two edge-protectors - about 1/2 inch.  The height is the same, and the tabs are in the same place as the old ones.  So the old pages can go into a new album (there will just be a little more depth to the album cover than you need) but that the new pages will be too deep/wide for the old album covers.  However, I do have one customer that is still going to use new pages in an old album - they may stick out the side a bit when the album cover is closed, but she's not worried.  She's got some old pages left over, but not enough for a full album, and doesn't want to buy another pack of old size and then not use them up.  So her album will have both - if that doesn't bother you, it might be an option too.

Hi Sandra, I am so sorry that your consultant did that you to you I am also a consultant and they right now are offering a special for those that have many to purchase you can purchse the finish it bundle pack you get pages, protectors and a tape runner for $25 you can multiple of these and this way at least you get a tape runner. Also for right now if you order those bundles off a CM's website you will also get a pack of 10 x 12 cardstock for free for every $100 you order before taxes. I hope this helps you out if you need more information just let me know I will be happy to help you out. It doesn't matter where you are located I can help you out. You can order off any web site and the products will be delivered to your door directly. I feel that you would benifit greatly by ordering at least some of your pages now and get as many things that are free this will help you out somewhat in getting your pages completed as well.

Hi Linda

I spoke with my CM consultant and I asked her about tape runner she said only sale is 10x12 cardstock but she said $130.00 she did say I could order on line.

I live in Canada so the tape runner must be offered in the US.

I looked at the  cm website I didn't see the tape runner sale.

If you look at the rest of these posts I still have to count all my pages in all my albums.

Once I have a final count then I am going to plan my order plan so I am not hit with $500.00 all at once.

Thanks for your help

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm another CM consultant, and we usually pride ourselves in customer service. As Linda mentioned, there are actually some great deals going on right now (free tape runner, order 4 bundles and get the cardstock pack for free if you order online). Another option would be to host a show - get a couple friends together and you can get some of those pages for free. You can even apply your own order towards your show, and split up what you need (order/pay for some, get some free with hostess credit). That wouldn't let you get the free cardstock though, so think about what makes more sense for you. And if you want to find a new consulant for your show, you can search the main website for one located near you. If you're just ordering on your own, you can always do it online thru any consultant and it comes right to your door. :-)

As for color of pages, I use a lot of White, but I also mix in Spargo depending on the occasion (weddings - especially when the bride is wearing off-white/cream) I have also done a vegas book in all Black, and a sweden trip in our Natural pages. It may depend on the type of books you're doing. And don't be afraid to mix it up - I just make sure I use background paper for the layout as I'm switching from one color to the next, so you don't even notice the transition. Just something to consider since you'll be getting so many pages...

Marina mentioned asking about a sale - as far as consultants know, the current bundle is the only deal/sale. That could possibly change. But for now you can contact your consultant (or me) and we could maybe work out a deal to help you out - similar to hosting...see what kind of rewards we can work out...
I'm so glad you're using our products - I'm sure you know how great they are! And the good news is that in the future our pages will fit with other products so you can easily mix and match other papers etc. I know that's not much consolation for you now, but after those 8 books you have are finished... lol. :-)
Let me know if there's anything I can do to help out.

Hi Sara

The 8 albums that I do have are going to be: Two of them baby albums two are family ablums, two are my older son albums continued from his baby albums, two are family tree albums. So I am going to order white for most.

I live in Canada and the special is if you order $130.00? dallors of product you get card stock and cm consultant said I could do this on line as you ladies have said.

I live in this new  town for 3 years don't know every many ladies that scrapbooks or would like to start scrapbook. So a party wouldn't work for me.

Right now I am looking at 16 pages and 16 page proctors. But I have some unfinished album and I need about 80 page protectors and still counting.

The reason i have so many pages with out protectors is I was doing journaling.

Well I have four boxes of scrapbooking to go through as we where planning to move again so I pack up my scrapbooking items so the movers don't touch my stuff.

I am really hoping that all my pages and protectors are in my albums and that I don't have to many loose items.

Once I have a final count I will write back again and see what my damage is going to be. I have worked it out to about $500.00 before taxes so far.

I think I will order some pages and proctors now for the 8 albums I do have but not all at once.

I will order maybe about $100.00 or so dallors to get this first sale. The one thing that is nice I didn't buy all the albums most were gifts.

I will chat with you soon

Hi Rebecca

This is the sizes right from the cm website:

Our updated album sizes are new, true and just for you! In this area of our Web site, you’ll find Coversets, Scrapbook Pages, Page Protectors and papers in True 12 x 12 sizing (actual size is 12” x 12”).

Because the pages are truly square, you can place your paper in any direction you choose on the page. That means more design freedom and no worries about creating a layout that doesn’t go in the right direction on your page!

Our original 12 x 12 products (actual size is 11.45” x 12”), including Coversets, Scrapbook Pages, Page Protectors and papers are still available for a limited time. Check out the Retiring/Previous Sizes section of this Web site.

Please note: original Scrapbook Pages will work in the new True 12 x 12 Coversets.

So the paper will fit but the pages and page protectors will be too big.
I would have to look at the email sent to me for the date that they are available till.

Thanks
Sandra

I forgot to tell you that I was told by my cm consulatant that the pages are only available till August 31. So I hope CM leaves it open till the end of the year but I doubt it.

Hi Sandra

I use the same albums also.
I never knew they were changing the albums.
I usually order a lot of stock because I can't always get into town to see my consultant. Wow. I need to order some to but not as many as you.
You wrote: Should I order all white or mix and match my paper?
I think you meant Pages not paper.
I would suggest ordering most of your pages in white.
You might have to make a quick decision what you might be putting in some of the albums and maybe order some in black and other colors.
But if you can't decide I would order all white pages.
Before ordering check all your stock to make sure you have enough page proctors for all your loose stock and also your 12X12 decorative pages.
What is the album you are working for your friend?
Hopefully you can get back on track scrapbooking.
Also buy some of the items you need now and in a few weeks check to see if the pages and protectors go on sale.
Maybe write the company and ask them if they will be going on sale?
Maybe they will give you a deal because they are not making that size anymore.
Just an idea but check into it.
Marina

Hi Marina - not sure if you're following this, but to repeat...  You can also take advantage of the online ordering.  That way you don't have to wait to see your consultant.  The order can now come shipped right to your door.  And it's the same shipping cost .  I love this new(ish) feature because I've got several customers that are over 2 1/2 hours away from me, and they can order anytime.  :-)
