Hi,

I just got my cricut and I was wondering if anyone has a good way of glueing the letters after you cut them out? I have tried a few ways and just looking for maybe an easier way. Thanks!! Cindy

I use a glue pen from Michaels....can't remember the name, but it's blue and white.  They have different sizes that make it easier.

Quoting Rhonda:

I agree with the Xyron comments.  I have the 5 inch one.  That is what works the best for me.

P.S.  I just used my Cricut to cut vinyl letters for my wall.  (Similar to Uppercase Living)  Has anyone else tried this?  The letters don't seem to be as sticky as the U.L. ones.  I had to rub really hard on them.  But love the final results.  Just my two cents.

I just used the vinyl letters on my hubby's race truck.I did't have any problems..They all stuck very well.

HI Cindy,  I crop with a group of ladies and we have four cricuts and lots of cartridges between us.  We use a Xyron (sticker maker), they come in various sizes.  The 250 is a two and half inch one that you put the letters in on one side crank them through and they come off as stickers on the other side.  You just need to make sure you put them in the right side up, the bottom is what becomes the sticky side.  Also, I use the "tool" from creative memories to help with the dots of the i and to straighten the letters as I put them in the xyron.  It has a long flat end that makes it easy to get into the tight area of the xyron.

Try running your letters through a Xyron after you cut them, or try attatching a sheet of Tacky Tape (double sided tape that comes in sheets) to your paper pre-cutting. But you'll need to clean your cutting blade after cutting to get any sticky stuff off.

I use the ATG 714.  If the cut-out is really tiny I use a xyron.

Hi Cindy,

I use two things:

1. Creative memoreis has a glue pen. It works great for fonts like Jasmin.

2. They sell card stock that already has adhesive. You just have to adjust the setting on the cricut to press a little harder. This is by far my favorite.

i agree with the xyron...and for those pesky dots for the i's and what not, sometimes they'll go through, other times its just easier to put them on with a glue pen or use tweezers to get them on to the xyron roll.

zyron sticker maker. I just have the little one. I stick it down as far as it will go and that seems to work for me

i have a sticker maker. works great don't have to mess w/ glue! the smaller one fits letters 2" and under or you can buy a larger one. they sell @ target/walmart, etc.

I definitely use the Xyron and fine tip glue pens. I like the Zig glue pen better than Creative memories. I also have used self adhesive paper, but it is tough to use with fonts like Jasmine or sm fonts...the paper is heavy and pulls away from the sticky part of the paper too easy. Enjoy your Cricut!! I love it!!!

Definately the Xyron, I love mine and the roll makes a lot of stickers. I have the 2.5 inch, but wish I would have gotten the bigger one!

use a xyron sticker maker.  the tiny letters will stick onto your page.  very cheap!

I flip all of my letters over and use a spray adhesive. That way you just have to grab them with tweezers or whatever you prefer, and put them where you like. Plus, it doesn't warp the paper like with some of the liquid glues!!

Hi Cindy,

I use the fine tip Zig glue pen.  It really gets the small cut outs well coated and I have not had the problem of them pulling up.  Some glue sticks I have used in the past thend to no adhere as well.

Thanks! I tried that but the small letters ( & the dot for an I) were hard to get through. :)

Absolutely! The best thing to use is the zyron machine. You can run your letters through the machine and then just peel and stick. I also keep a creative memories pick up square handy to get rid of any extra sticky (although you can pick them up anywhere)
