supercoloring.com has a coloring page of a cupcake as a free printable. (its in the food category) Free coloring printable would be one way to get what you want. A lot if these types of pages let you color online before you print. just a suggestion

I made these cupcake invites for my youngest last year. I have a link to the blog I got the pattern/idea from. http://mygirls-jolene.blogspot.com/2009/...

to get the swirley top, I just ran it thru my cuttlebug with the swirl folder and then very lightly rubbed my white ink pad over the raised edges to give it just a bit more dimension. I didn't have a stamp that I liked for the circle image so I just created one on word and then printed it in the pink color and then just punched it out with my circle punch.

I also made some coordinating thank you's that were MUCH simpler in style. Just a single layer card... I used kraft c/s as my base then stamped a small cupcake image. I colored in the top with a pink souffle pen (I did this a couple of times to get the right puffiness) and then dabbed a little stickles glitter on top of that. I stamped a "thank you" sentiment directly below it and then using a ruler drew a large white box around the image. the "ends" of the white box were at either end of the sentiment.

Sorry... It's hard for me to explain.... If you would like a picture, Please just send me a message and I'll send you a picture!

If you're running short on time, let me know! I'm for hire and would gladly make the invites/thank yous/etc for you! :)

Hope this helps!

Hello! Cupcakes sound fun! I made valentines this year with cupcakes on the front. I used my Cricut to cut out two different shapes. One was an odd rectangle that when turned sideways, looks like the bottom of cupcake. I used brown paper for cut out, then rolled them thru my paper crimper to make them look like cupcake liners. For the top of cupcake a used a cloud shape on my cricut with various pretty patterned paper. Used button, jewlels, etc. to embellish the top. My theme was "Valentine, You Take The Cake!" They were so cute for Kindergartners! You coul maybe use something like "This Birthday Takes The Cake" or "Cute as a Cupcake" Good luck!

Try some of the scrapbooking software sites. And or some of the embroidery software sites have great pictures. There are tons of cupcakes out there. I hope you find something....perfect idea for this age.

A cute idea for invitations is to make picture invites and then add some cupcakes stickers to it, they sell REALLY cute ones at Wal-mart and JoAnn Fabrics, or pretty much any craft store. I almost did the cupcake theme for my daughters first birthday but ended up doing butterflies instead, so I did the photo invites with butterfly stickers. I put a picture of her when she was first born and then a current picture. The Dollar Tree had some Cupcake paper last time I went there, so if you have one near you that's another great idea! Good luck!

If you want a cupcake "cake" for her birthday try safeway. They made a turtle cake out of cupcakes for his 1st birthday. It was soooo cute.
