Hey, on a yahoo group I found out about Design Studio. Everyone seems to think it is a great tool to have. I checked the web site and it seems like a great thing to have, but I have a few questions. The web site made it sound like you would be given access to all the images on all the cartridges. But then another page made it sound like you had access to the cartridges you own already. Does anyone use DS? Does anyone know how it works? Thanks.

yes, you have to the cartridged in order to cut, but I like the way that I can look at the cartridge and see all that it can do before I decide to purchase it. Also if I am looking for a specific thing to cut say for example a dog house I type the key word in and it tells me which cartridge cuts a dog house. I also like the way that I can cut any size of image out without pushing one button on the cricut itself you have a large screen your computer to see everything that you are doing. It makes things so much easier! i hope this information helps you out. You can purchase the design studio cheaper at www.ohmycrafts.com and also cartridges cheap. I found them to the cheapest. Good Luck!

Yes, you have to have the cartridge in order to get that image. The cricut machine needs to be hooked up to the computer where you are using design studio. You can only view all the other cartridges but you can't actually cut them unless you have the cartridge in your machine.

Hello, you have access to see all the Cricut cartridges and even design with them, but you can't cut the shapes/fonts unless you have that particular cartridge connected to the Cricut or the Jukebox. Does that make sense? Sometimes I can confuse myself. :)
