How do find the time?

I am a stay at home mom, dad works during the day. Sometimes I do some scrapping during the day...then make up say my laundry or dishes in the evening when dad is home to entertain the 9 yr old! plus im also a nightowl...always have been..i have a friend who i get together with biweekly...and sometimes we scrap till 3 am or later in the morning! watched the sun come up once! think i did 8 pages that nite!

It breaks my heart my scrapbooking stuff is just in the cupboard i couldnt even imagine pulling out everything doing it and putting all back in a night just take photos and write notes thats what i was told to do :(

I have four kids so I know how hard it can be to find the time. I usually scrap in spurts. Sometimes I get only 5 or 10 minutes, sometimes I can manage a whole hour. But taking even just a few minutes is key for me. It may end up taking me a few days to finish a layout that way, but it's better than just looking at your stuff and wishing you could do something with it. And you'd be surprised how much you can accomplish in just 5 minutes. You can choose pics, or select papers, sort through possible embellies, write down some journaling ideas, play around with placement, etc. And if you can grab 5 minutes at a time, even just 3 or 4 times a day, you'll make good progress.

tuesdays are my night to scrapbook...7pm - 10pm. my son is almost 2 and in bed by 7:00 everynight...but when he was a bit younger and not quite on that bedtime schedule, my husband would be responsible for taking care of him and i'd close my door and work away :-) definitely setting aside a particular day has helped me get my projects done...i've been doing this for almost 5 years now!

I have a 6 y.o. and two 4 y.o's and the only time I get to scrapbook are the one night a month that a Creative Memories consultant has a workshop, and the three times a year they have an all day event. I can't even keep up with the dishes and the laundry, let alone the things that I enjoy. Sorry I'm not any help, but just wanted to let you know you're not alone. My sister used to also do a night at the library (reserving one of the private rooms) with her friends once a month too.

I have a scrapbooking room now (but u could use an area) where I can leave everything left out so even if I only sneak away for a few minutes here and there, I can actually get stuff done. It used to take me so long to get organized that by then my free time would be up.

You have to leave home. Either join or form a crop club. I NEVER have time to scrap when I'm home. Someone or something always intrerrupts. I have two boys ages 7 and 10. They've both expressed an interest in scrapping with me (they love spending time with mommy). But when I try to get them to do it, they're too busy playing video games. Well, maybe some day. In the meantime, I repeat, find a group to crop with and GET OUT OF THE HOUSE. Even if it's only once a month or so. Believe me, your sanity will thank you!

Yes, set some time aside if you can. I am just now finding the time and I have two in college and one in high school. I don't know if you heard of power paging but it is great way to get a a few pages done when

you have little time. Lay out your paper you want to use. Then just lay the pictures you want on top of each page and then your embellishments without cutting or glueing just yet. You can do several pages this way. Then carefully stack one on top of the other and when you have a few moments you can do page or two because you already know what you want on the page, you just have to cut and stick it on there. .

Ummm...to heck with the cleaning! LOL, I stay up late some nights and arrange playdates for the kids/scrapbooking for the moms day! I actually have one set up this month. Kids play, moms scrapbook and take turns refereeing ;) I do another one late at night when my husband doesn't work the next day so he can get up with our son and we stay up late and scrap the night away! I have a 2 year old and one on the way. I make plans for 1 day a month to scrapbook with my sister. Very lucky to have my mom who watches my daughter while I scrapbook. You have to set time for yourself... I feel bad sometimes but it makes me feel better once I am doing it or just finished. Plus my daughter loves to look at the scrapbooks! Maybe do a few hours of cropping pictures then the next time you can place them on pages... try breaking it down. Good Luck!

A group of moms and I used to set aside a special day when kids were at school - or have a room to play in near us- where we could scrap, chat & have fun and the kids did too. I haven't done this in the last year, but maybe it would work for you. I've been wanting to get back into it and you just have to pick a day and decide that's when you're going to do it. Put it on your calendar! :o) Good luck & have fun!!
