When my son was younger, I gave him his own supplies and he would hang out with me and do little 6 x 6 albums of family & friends. But now that he is older, I just go in my scrap area & do my own thing. I'm expecting now and not sure how it will fit in. But I always tried to go away once a year on a scrapbook weekend & get caught up. Also there are a couple scrapbook groups by me that meet once a month at a local church. I try to make a couple of those a year. I do agreed that if you spend some prep time assembling your pictures in order and making little page kits with the embellishments & paper you want to use it saves time. I love those big ziplock bags for that, I think they are 2.5 gallon. It's def easier when you can just grab a bag and have everything ready to do a page when you are pressed for time.

I work full time as a Graphic Design (no wonder I love scrapbooking) and it is sometimes difficult to find time to work on my books - especially when my 3 yro son likes to play with all of my things! What me and my bff (who has a 3 yro daughter and also works full time) do is we sign up for an all day crop at Archivers (but many places have them). It is an opportunity for us to have some bonding time as friends and also get work done on our scrapbooks.

I usually try to organize my pages ahead of time (layout which photos are on what paper, etc.) so that when we get there I can just GO instead of contemplating everything. However, there are times when I usually fly by the seat of my pants! I recently just reorganized all of my scrapbook items and I am HOPING that this will allow me to do a couple of pages after my lil man goes to bed at night!

I work full time at a hotel and I am in the process of starting my own residential cleaning business. I try to use this time to spend with my daughter (who is turning 6 at the end of the month). She loves scrapbooking too! We try to do the last hour before her bedtime a couple of nights a week.
