I use Photoshop Elements 8 (hoping to upgrade when 11 comes out). I love the versatility!

www.jessicasprague.com is a great website for teaching techniques for both scrapbooking (digital and non) as well as working with pictures and editing them. She has tons of great digi goodies and classes.

Shabby shoppe is awesome! They have free monthly templates for year-in-review scrapping, and even had cover templates available. They've continued on and now have monthly templates for 2012 in review.

I use My Memories Suite Software and it is the easiest to use as I have tried Photoshop and My Digital Studio by Stampin Up!. They have a really great support page with a ton of inpspiration - you can find it here - https://www.facebook.com/pages/MyMemories/140359372717593

They have a weekly challenges where you can win prizes and they have weekly speed scraps - Hope to see you there!

I digital scrapbook too. I use Adobe Photoshop CS4. The PP recommendation for Ikea Goddess is a greaet start for freebies. If I am looking for a certain freebie, I have found it helpful to just do a search for it in google. :) I too get most of my freebies from blogs. Another place that has great freebies is: http://shabbyprincess.com/ They only release them every 6 months or so though. :(

HI I am VERY into digi scrapbooking. I know of tons of sites of fun and free stuff. I am on 4 CTs (creative teams).
Blogs are very good places to get freebies. The best is http://ikeagoddess.blogspot.com/ She scouts all the blogs and collects all the freebies that she finds. another one I love is http://grannyart.blogspot.com/ She has tons of great stuff that is CU/S4H/PUO. Just be careful of getting freebies if you ever plan to sell anything that you create to others. MOST freebies are PUO (personal use only).

There's a few places where you can get free actions and brushes. Let me know if you are into that and I will send you the links.

I use Photoshop but started out using Microsoft picture it. I am active in a few forums with lots of challenges. I actually got hooked because of the challenges. They were so much fun I did 32 LO's in one month after not scrapping for over 3 yrs. (paper scrap).

I use ArcSoft Print Creations. I love it. You can make much more than digital scrapbooks with this program. There are a lot of free layouts and more that you can purchase. I have only purchased one, and only because it had what I wanted to make my cousins bridal shower invitations. I can do about 6-10 pages in about 2-3 hours. With this program you can even import other layouts into the one that you are working on. (i.e. if you are working on a winter layout and want a flower from a summer layout you can click the select material button and add what ever you want.

Quoting Mickey:

hi i haven't done digital yet but i would like to make a book for my mother in law every year for christmas. i am looking for anyone that wants to sell there Storybook creator plus 3. i can't afford the organial cost of the brand new software from creative memories.
so if anyone knows who can help i thank you very much. :)

Hey Mickey,

Actually I believe that once the software is installed on a computer you can't install it on another, so a used one isn't really an option.

However - there are two other great choices for you:

1)  Host a party - all it costs you is a few snacks and a bit of your time.  Have friends over to share all the great stuff that CM has to offer, and you earn hostess credit.  You can get your software for free!

2)  Use the basic Storybook Creator (not "plus")  It's free - you can get it right off the website.  And then you can choose from all sorts of books/templates for free too.  I made my first three or four books with just the basic program, and they turned out great!  I have since upgraded, and i do truly love the "plus" version, but the basic is a great place to start!

Let me know if I can help you at all :-)

Hi! A cool site I stumbled upon is: www.scrapblog.com

It's a free site with tons of options. I have created pages and then downloaded them to my computer and then I uploaded to walmart!! I've found out that it's best to print a 5x7 print. If you print 8x10 it's a little blury. There are tons of options at scrapblog. They have free papers, emblishments but then you can also upgrade to buy certain papers, emblishments etc. Just check it out!!

I have spent a bunch of time the past few days starting on my mother's Christmas gift. She gets a digital album of our kids every year. Well, I shoudl say every year for the last couple (and all the future years :-) I use Creative Memories Storybook Creator Plus and I LOVE it! I'm just thinking about picking up a few more packages - there are a TON of free album package templates out there, but you can also buy some specialty pages to add to your options. I haven't had too yet since I've been very happy with the free stuff, but there are some really cute additions that I'm just itching to purchase. :-)

Not sure if you use this program or if you'd be interested in it, but if you do/are, I can add you to a list to contact for when we have specials on our digital products. Just let me know if you'd like to get more info now or in the future.

Oh, and check out www.creativememories.com for free ideas and downloads. Go to the "project center" for all sorts of layouts and ideas. Not sure if these freebies would work with other programs, but it's worth a shot. :-)

Let me know if I can help with any questions,
