For christmas each year we do an ornament exchange. Instead of buying them this year I will be making them. I have some stamps that you can cut out in layers and then layer them to make them 3D. I do 2 for each ornament so it is on both sides.

I've made 2 calendars (one gift, one for our family) and 2 digital scrapbooks - gifts for the grandparents. All were done with Creative Memories Storybook creator. Super easy and super cute! I need a few more pics for the books, but the calendars are already on order and should ship soon - I can hardly wait!

I'm making advent calendars for a select few this year. I plan on giving them out at Thanksgiving and just telling them it's an early gift. I'm using the Karen Foster 3D Countdown Calendar. It's made of chipboard and completely undecorated. It's really fun to decorate each of the little pull-out boxes. I think I need to make 4 more by Thanksgiving. I've only made one so far. Hopefully next year I can get an earlier start on this. I always come up with ideas at the last minute! LOL

I'm working on calendars for my mom and mother-in-law. Trying to get photos of hte kids sorted for each calendar month, then we'll scrapbook them and have it bound. We've been doing it for the past 10 years or so and it's so much fun for the kids to make their own page. And, we've really enjoyed looking at past calendars, bring back lots of great memories!

Last year my son then two and I made christmas ornaments with his pic on them for family and friends. We doroated canning jar lids. His pic on one side and cut out old christmas card on the other. Used all sorts of things like pompoms, ribbon, glitter, beads. We also made some by tracing christmas cookie cutters. The tree, star, and angel ones came out really well. We also made a bead garland for our tree.
This year we are going to make bookmarks with his picture on them.
We make this a big event and invite my sister in laws and nieces and nephew over to join in the fun.

I want to make Christmas cards for family and friends with pictures of my daughter but I don't know how to do anything like that. I have a bunch of scrap booking stuff but not too good at it. And I want to make a calendar for the grandparents as well yet again I don't know how do do any of this

I just bought a calendar kit at Michaels for $14.99 and used a 40% off coupon.  It comes with everything you need to make the calendar except the photos.  They also had a couple fo r$19.99.

Michaels also has blank cards with envelopes that go on sale frequently.

Archivers offers a kit for calendars that has paper and embelishments for calendar (8x8, 8x11, or 12x12) Going to use the kit to help make my calendar...still crafty but a little help goes a long way!

Last year I gave birth to my daughter 3 weeks before Christmas and there was no time or energy to go shopping. So, my husband and I decided we would make gifts. We made jar mixes, picture frames decorated with our daughter's mand prints and her 1st picture and even some homemade dog treats. We had so much fun putting everything together that we decided from now on we're making our gifts. This year we're making bird houses/feeders, pillows, candles using some old teacups found in a thrift store, a beanbag toss game for our daughter and of course the popular jar mixes and dog treats! We even framed some pictures of our daughter's finger paintings for grandparents :) Have fun!

I usually make all the cards I send out and they're all different. Not sure if I will have time to make them all this year though as my twins have just hit the walking and climbing stage...might be difficult...lol

Hi there everyone, Some of the ideas given here I might use myself. Love the idea of home remedies, my son is making sweets and then we are making personalised labels for each parcel. I am making a mini album and a card organiser. Was hoping to make christmas cards but not sure.

The cards I am making are the ones that I am sending out. I know I should make one design and mass it out but I want a few different kinds.

I am making a small album of my boys for my Grandma. I started it for last Christmas and had no time to finish it so hopefully it will happen this year. HOPEFULLY! I am also making gifts in a jar for the extended family... cookies, soups, biscuits etc. I also plan to sell some of these so we'll see how that goes.

Making a calander for my in-laws and making my Christmas cards. Planning on taking a picture of my daughter wrapped in Christmas lights then print out "Wrap yourself in the warmth of the season"!! Last year our card was a picture of our daughter, in her Christmas jammies, hanging an ornament on the tree with a strip of paper running across the bottom saying "May you always see Christmas through the eyes of a child" So far those are my only projects for the holidays!

I am not sure yet how to post a photo - but I will try it when I finish my first book!!  I am making a NOEL book and maybe a 2009 book.  I am making a BABY book for a friend of mine.  I have cut a couple of books out of cardstock, but for some reason I am scared of chipboard!!  I just need to dig in and do it!!

I have 60 cards to make up but I am not feeling very motivated. I have to find some inspiration. Good Luck with the gifts.

Are these cards you are mailing out or are they gifts?  Are they all the same or are you making a variety?  I used to make my own cards but I don't have the time when I need the cards....
