I use the CM product and love it. I like that I can get their stuff and also most anything from the internet. I totally recommend the Memory Manager to go with for editing.

I would highly recommend Adobe Photoshop Elements for the beginner digi scrapper. Most of the free digital papers and elements that you can download are created specifically for this program - I have see pages done on other programs and they just aren't as high quality IMO. I have a huge list of sites that offer tutorials, freebies etc for digital scrapbookers. Send me a message and I will send it too you.

I use photoshop elements and LOVE it! Check out my blog www.michellescreativetreasures.blogspot.com.

I post quite a few digital pages. To the right side, towards the bottom I have a list of my favorite digital scrapbooking sites. Alot of them have free tutorials, some charge for lessions. It seems like most on-line digitals shops use photoshop.

Creative Memories has a GREAT software program, Storybook Creator! It cost about $60, but is totally worth it! It has all of the papers, titles, expressions, embellishments... etc that the traditional line has. I have all of my photos saved on my computer, I just pull from the file. I never have to print pictures. I have been a scrapper for years, but have found the only time I actually scrap is when I go somewhere b/c I didn't have the time or space to get all of the "stuff" out to scrap on a regular basis. Going digital has saved me, I'm actually working on the current year and my kids get to see immediate pages of current events, not pictures from last year or the year before! Good luck. Missi W.

Hi Karen,

I'm actually a Creative Memories consultant and just recently began using the Storybook Creator Plus software, and I'm addicted! I was a traditional scrapbooker, but decided to do a book for each of my kids each year in a 12x12 size. This software is totally customizable--meaning that you can create a page from scratch picking the paper, photo mat colors, embelishments, sayings to add, and you can putyour pics and text wherever you want. The nice thing about the CM software is that it is desktop software so you don't have to be online to work on your album like many other programs like snapfish, etc. You can put it on your laptop and take it to workshops to work on it, or just keep it on your desktop. There is a free software download that you can get of my website which is www.mycmsite.com/kkarelus. If you decide to, you can also purchase the software from the website. The difference between the software that you buy, and the free software is that the free software templates are all fixed templates that you cannot move around or change. The I did a few with the free software first, then used the plus software and Love it!! I like having more control over the design of my pages. Do you live in the Rochester area by chance?? if so email me at ckkarelus@hotmail.com. . I'd love to help you get started on a digital project. I can also recommend the CM Memory Manager software which is what I use on my desktop to organize all of my digital media, pics and movies. It's an amazing program for editing, and organizing eveything you have!! Hope to hear from you. SOrry about the long response. I have nothing but good things to say about he CM digital line! If you'd like, I can send you a link so you can view the storybooks that I have created using the sofware.
