I use the same system as Crystal(above), but I organize mine by project as I don't have alot of room. Then, folders are in my rolling cart or box according to what project I am working on. I also keep a list of what I need by project, so I don't over-buy or overwhelm my space. Good Luck!!!!!

I just went to Staples and bought a regular file folder (hard one) that fits 12x12 paper. Inside is 5 folders that I separate my papers by color or season. I think it was around $12.

I work for A.C. Moore and we sell all sorts of boxes and they can hold scrapbbok cardstock and paper easily. They are very inexpensive.

I use 12X12 clear plastic envelopes with snap or string/button closures. I organized my paper and put one subject in each folder. Example: I have all my Halloween paper in one folder, camping paper in another, etc. Label the outside and it is easy to pick out what you want. You can also do this with colored paper. Hope this helps!

I use the plastic sheet protectors and put them into a binder, works great and is cheap, especially when you use a coupon!

I'm lucky enough to have a handy husband who built me a hutch for under $100. It sits in my dining room and noone ever guesses the creative chaos hiding inside. I tend to p/u my scrappin' supplies from smaller scrappin' stores so the owners all know me. If I'm looking for shelving I let them know and they keep their eyes peeled for me!

I have a great cart for storing my paper. It is a black box with handles and it sits on a rolling cart. It has hanging file folders in it to hold your paper. My paper never ends up bent or out of order. I was trying to find a picture of it but could not find it. Not sure if it is still available.

Being the Grandma who can "squeeze the eyeballs out of Abe Lincoln", I happened on 6 1/2"x 12" plastic boxes similar to a trash can, in a hardware store for under $5 that 12x12 paper would fit. Check unlikely stores as you pass them. I stand up my papers in two of those, marking colors, patterns, etc. with a tall piece of stiff paper (shirt box, mat board, etc.) I stand up my paper stacks between them, in gradated sizes and bottoms up, so I can flip through the pages easily and pull out what I want. I'm not cheap...there are just more important things on which to spend the money.

I'm like Rachael and was lucky enough to find a scrapbook store that was getting rid of their wire paper stands and got them for about $20 each! I have 3 of them & have 100s of sheets of paper and cardstock on them!
I would enquire at scrapbook stores & see if they have any they are getting rid of.

I buy the plastic vertical 12x12 paper storage (like magazine holders) they come in set of 4 (with different sizes in the pkg) at HL. They are normally $20 and they go 1/2 off ~so I've gotten each set for $10! I've bought 4 of these. I store these in the white 14x14 cubes. I don't care for the white horizontal plastic drawers. I invested in those years ago and they are a pain when you go to get the paper in & out.

I agree with Lori's post about watching sales at Michael's & Hobby Lobby (if you have HL close, they are wonderful!) I have the cubes (14"x14") white like Michael's carries. I got mine online but the ones Michael's carries are good also. On sale I picked up 2 more there, the sale price was $20. I use Cropper Hopper vertical paper storage holders in the cubes. Hobby Lobby now makes they same type of vertical paper holder for a dollar cheaper and with the 40% off coupon they run almost every week, you can get them $2.40. They hold 200 sheets of paper.
Good luck!

Unfortunately, scrapbook stores often go out of business where I live. I got a wire paper stand that they used to display their paper for only $25! I would check to see if any local stores have extra storage racks that they might be trying to get rid of. The stand I got is perfect for organizing different colored 12x12 papers and it sits right on the side of my scrapbook desk for easy access. I find that having my supplies right in front of my face, using racks or see-thru containers, is the best way to help inspire creativity.

Those plastic drawers from Wal-Mart are great for scrapbooking papers. I use them for my paper scrapping, but I've gone to mostly digital scrapbooking too. It's neater and easier to store. Hope you can find your answers. Blessings to you. Joanne ♥

Check out Staples for big accoridan file folders. I've got one that's quite nice (green toille pattern) and holds over 200 sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock.

Watch the sale ads for Michaels & Hobby Lobby. Scrapbook storage goes on sale often at both stores. You can get a file folder paper holder around $20 and you can sort paper by color or type.
