Scrapbooking - its an addiction

Not only is it an addiction, use for therapy but very overwhelming too. For me, I come up with an idea for a project, start playing with idea's and possibilities and BAM! I am gone for days lost in my sea of creativity.
We have adopted our 21 month old nephew and have one on the way. Our home was originally 3 bed room and so we converted our third car garage into bedroom. My breakfast room is my scrapbooking room that tends to squeeze into the dining room too... I told my hubby our next house will have enough rooms so I can have atleast one dedicated to my scrapbooking fetish!! :)

I know where your coming from with the stuff for family and friends, I have almost finished a family album for my dad after scanning all the old photos in time for what would have been our grandparents 80th wedding aniversary and I did the same thing for the other side of the family in 2007, not to mention the one for my mum, which was the first one I ever did, and then there is the one for my son tee hee, and I still haven't finished our trip album from 2005!! but I have to agree it is definitley addictive!

Addiction? I call it therapy! I really enjoy all the possibilities---and there is no right or wrong way to scrapbook. Technology has added so many wonderful ways to help scrapbook. I like to use my Cricut Create that I just got. My family enjoys looking through the albums that I've made. I can easily spend hours in a craft store looking through & buying items to use. Keeping it organized is my challenge. I don't have a room or space just for scrapbooking so I use the dining room table. It gets outta hand and then I have to clean up so company can eat in there. I never expected to use my DR for this but perhaps one day I can have a craft room. My little dream.

I'm so glad to see that there are many people with the same addition. I am thinking of turning my garage into my craft room because I took over my kitchen. Now I scrapbook, sew, and make jewelry. I have recently taken over the laundry room too because I just can't fit anything else in the kitchen, but a few weeks ago found a sale at joannes where a bunch of stuff was 40% off and spent almost $300. Now by all means I didn't "NEED" any of it but "had to get it." My boyfriend looked at it and said "more paper?" He just don't understand.

When I first started Scrapbooking my husband was feeling massive guilt for buying a supercharger for his Mustang so, I think he spent an equal amount on Creative Memory supplies for me. I have tons of stuff, a 2 year old and no place to scrap at! LOL. I have a couple of friends who I get together with once in a while but thats it.

I must smile, this is wonderful to hear other scrappers have the same "problem" as me, too little space and to many scrapping goodies. It`s nice to hear from you Era and Sue i would love to see some of your pages. Have a nice day
