Anyone scrapbook pressed flowers? Got any tips on how to preserve them? I pressed some rose petals from a bush I planted for my daughter and I want to make sure they don't turn or crumble. Thanks for the help!

What i did for my daughters flowers, i let them dry out first. Then put them in a photo album for a few months. Then when i put them in her book i just cut plastic and glued the plastic on to the page around the flower.

If you are worried about crumbling you could always find some archival-safe tape and "laminate" the flower between pieces of tape.

I have my pressed first rose from my late dh in our book using a 3L pocket. It's done well no crumbling.

I know that craft stores would have some kind of spray that will preserve the flowers - but I would recommend putting them in a separate pocket to keep them form harming photos if they were to crumble.

Creative Memories also makes "memorabilia pockets" that are clear and safe for albums. I dont' know if anything would really prevent the crumbling though - doesn't that happen naturally when they dry out? I'd make sure you take lots of photos, and then the petals would be a bonus if they stay in tact.

So not sure if you have them where you are!!! But there has to be someone who has something similar. The 3L ones are the ones I am familiar with :)

Ok, I'm risking making a fool of myself by asking this... but what's 3L?

Depending on how you are scrapbooking them, would a keepsake envelope do the trick? I know 3L makes some (they have various sizes) that are clear, so would still be able to see the petals, but they would be fully protected.
