Take the baby out and enjoy being a mom of a new baby just keep him warm and just try to keep really sick people away and keep a hat on him because heat escapes from the head and he should be fine enjoy showing him off congrats!!!!! :)

I took my son out as soon as I could. He was 3 days old when I brought him home and the very next day, we were out and about in the stroller. Mind you, it was the middle of June. He stays in a little more now that it is colder. As long as he is warm and safe and can eat when he needs you will be just fine.

My doctor let me bring out the baby around people when they are 6 weeks old. But with my first child he was out a week after I gave birth. He was born winter time so the only way I can walk is by going to the mall. They need that bacteria so they can build up their immunity. I grew up in the Philippines and I can see kids around the poor places are just naked and dirty but are hardly sick.

Congrats on your new baby. I am a firm believer in exposing my child to anyone/anything. As long as the bebe is dressed appropriatly and you don't let someone who is extremely sick kiss and hug them, your baby should be fine. It's really up to you when you feel comfortable to take your baby out. I would just try not to be over worriesome about outings and other people.

your baby can go out of the house at any time as long as there is nothing wrong with him where the doctor told u not to....... I had my son out for a walk in the stroller when he was 6 days old. Just make sure he is bundled well and a hat, he will be fine... Enjoy the baby shower and showing off your new baby, congrats!!
