It is so hard to be an Avon Rep. these days. I don't have any customers and it doesn't seem easy to get new customers without seeming like I am pushing people into buying from me. How do other women find customers?

Mary,
I also posted a thread called 119 ways to advertise. I hope it is helpful. There are some really creative cheap/free ways to advertise. I have used several of them and been successful.

Hi Mary,
Are you familiar with Meet Up? You can go to www.meetup.com and search for Meet Up groups in your area. Join the ones that interest you. They have Meet Up groups for any interest/hobby imagineable. Just remember to be more focused on building relationships with people and not be focused on your business. People do business with people that they trust. Think about the people that you do business with....I bet you will find that you give your business to people that you know and trust, people that you have built a relationship with. Networking and buildiing relationships with others is a great way to get leads. The Meet Up groups should be a great place to start. Best of luck!

It's there. There aren't any right now because of winter. Have you tried expo's? Like a woman's expo? Anything like that is a good way to create leads.

Hi Mary,

I would try some mom2mom sales. You have to get in as soon as they post. Where do you live? Also, try meetup.com. They have meet ups for people who are self-employed. Good luck!!
