I have been trying to potty train my 2 year son. There are times when he wants to use the potty but majority of the time he would rather where a diaper than his pull ups. Any suggestions or fun ways to make potty training more fun?

i got the Elmo potty for him and it came with a little book with stickers, i also have a book for him "It's Potty Time" Potty Training made Easy!
At first i had put him on the potty everytime i thought he want to go and i would tell him to sit there and read the book. this went on for a couple of days (not consecutive cause i'm a working mom who only has Tuesdays and weekends off) then all of a sudden he went to the potty all by himself and ever since he's been going. It's been 3 weeks now without a diaper. I would still put one on at night but he would wake up dry and go in the morning. THe last couple of nights he had underwear on and no accidents.
Try to get the potty trainer underwear from Target. It's not like a diaper or pull up. It's cotton. I think they like the feeling.
Hope it helps.
Good luck.

using lotties as a reward worked for my older daughter (6) and i never used pull ups or anything just undies, you'll find most kids don't like being wet so they learn that if they do wet they stay wet, legs and all, pull ups just feel like a nappy. My 2 year old son isn't even interested in going to the toilet/potty, i have tried to get him to go but he just doesn't want to, you can't force a child to go because then they will get this horrible image of what it's like to go to the toilet which makes everything worse. Just take your time, they all train when they are ready not when the parents are ready.

We actually used the method of no pull ups or diapers and it worked in 3 days. Not to say there weren't accidents after, but we bought Dora panties and told my daughter she couldn't wear them until she put her pee pee in the potty and it was a huge incentive for her. She also got one M&M for peeing and two M&Ms for pooping. It was a great way for her to get candy because we don't allow her to eat a lot of candy. When we were home during that first week or so, she only wore a shirt, that way there was less laundry and it was easier for her to get on the potty. Good luck!!! If it doesn't work, just wait a month or so and try again!
