Hi all I am new to this site but have been a member on other single mother sites. I just wanted to share my story in hopes of helping others from going through the hoops I had to go through. First my son was born premature at 32 weeks. He then started having respiratory issues ( he was never formally diagnosed with asthma). So when I went back to work the government assistance I was receiving(medicaid and food stamps) were cut completely off and at this time I only made $9.00 an hour with no benefits. I then tried to get private insurance. Every place I called said either my premiums would be almost $500 dollars a month or I was flat out denied because he had a pre-existing condition (they considered a premature birth as a pre-existing condition). Fed up and frustrated I began searching the web and found this website that offered up to 85% discount on healthcare services for a low price. So when I went to the dentist instead of paying $100 for a visit I payed $50. The best part of it all they have other plans to like discounts for medical things as well.
